Hi Folks,

OK at last have a reasonable connection so have added some photo’s from our time in Marquises Isles, including:

a)      Babe overtaking S/Y Yantina in friendly race from Ua-Pou to Nuka Hiva – despite Yantina best endeavours / bigger yacht / more sails!!

b)      Babe & Trish + Babe in Daniel’s bay in Nuka Hiva – apparently 2 years ago a yacht moored up and went ashore for a walk to the famous waterfall and a local offered to help – few days later wife was found tied to a tree and raped and remains of husband were found in a camp fire, presumably having been eaten! (Marquisians being the original cannibals)!

c)       Range of photos of locals during the Oyster Regatta party (we were back in the UK at this timeL, inclufing

·         Traditional island greeting

·         Locals limbering up

·         Range of dancing – the locals actually do this regularly as part of their tradition – closest we came to a disco!

·         Not even a coconut is wasted here!

·         Amazing how the girls/women can shake their asses!

·         Loving the tattoo’s – apparently this is where tattoo’s started -  the more tattoo’s the more manly - and I almost went for one!

·         Locals doing a mating dance – um where have I seen those moves before?
