Day 9

Wind has been much more co-operative albeit still giving us a scare now and then by falling in strength from time to time but we have now not had the motor on for over 72 hours, sailplan now is full genoa and mainsail with two reefs (1 the apparent wind angle of 120 degrees means any larger main would simply rob genoa of wind and 2 still conservative for safety's sake as any squalls we can easily roll up genoa even on our single handed night watches). Our weather router has us going towards 10 degrees S 120 degrees W keeping us away from squalls belt but this will be reviewed over the weekend to see if we need to keep SW'ing.

"Chef Henri"
Young Henry our new crew had a cooking lesson from Josh and cooked us up a delicious spaghetti bolognaise yesterday, unfortunately his new Galapagos "I love blue boobys" (famous Galapagos sea bird!) t shirt now has the bolognaise sauce stains to witness his efforts!

All is well on board, two good laundry days yesterday and today courtesy of our little caravan/camping washing machine and the chaps in life jackets and safety harnesses to hang out the washing on a rolly yacht in high winds!
