Chacked out of Fernando de Noronha on Tuesday afternoon and left the anchorage arooooooooound 06:30 bound west. a bitmore than 24 hours later and we are making excellent progress with 20 knots of wind from astern. Blue seas as ever here!
Fernando de Noronha was hosting its one sailing event of the year, the Recife - Noronha race, and there were 50 yachts at anchor but by no means crowded as it's a huge bay. A very peaceful interlude and much recommended, albeit eye-wateringly expensive. Everything is 2x mainland prices plus the three days cost over 1000 Reis for environmental tax, anchoring tax and access to national park tax.
