Unsurprisingly the temperature is increasing as we move north towards the equator but the sunshade made usinng the sewing machine bought in a flea-market in Tenerife is working well. In fact the first thing done every morning before coffee is to put it up.

The veg is going off faster than we can eat it and The vegetable net inner netting snapped after all this time on the same tack. On a positive note James made bread this morning so toast for breakfast.

We are probably going to break our voyage at Fernando de Noronha Island Group. While part of Brazil yachts may stop off and not (re)enter the country as it’s not an official entry port. A swim and a night at anchor appeals greatly. Hopefully after the experience recently in Buzios and Vitoria the anchorage might even be calm enough to scrub the hull underwater. It's about another 300 miles so 48 hrs at this pace.

The sailing conditions are perfect as we have now a SE 4 blowing us up the coast at a gentle 6 to 7 knots. The tow generator and solar panels are keeping pace with the autohelm and fridge's electrical demand.
