We only spent a few days on Gomera, but it is a very attractive, being green and mountainous.

 

With Steve and Toni we took a taxi into the hills and then walked on a path which we'd been told would be only abut 3km and take an hour.

 

Destination: the radio mast

 

Initially in farming country

 

Which gave way to vines

 

But it gradually got rather steep (destination the top of the further hill)

 

and the plants changed to cacti and stonecrop the size of dinner plates

 

But we arrived! Hot, tired and hungry, but triumphant.

 

Next day all 4 of us sailed back to Tenerife.
