Arrived! Pulled into he marina in Horta at 16.00 our time, 20.00 local. We've put our clocks forward and are now happy to lose 4 hours and go to bed early. But no watches this night and so no getting up after 4 hours - that will be nice! The boat is so still and that's nice too.

The wind came up around 4am, the engine was switched off and we had a great day of sailing in lovely sunny weather to within a mile of the marina. So in the end we had plenty of fuel left. The marine life was disappointing - just one dolphin all day and not a single whale. Actually we're not too disappointed about the whales as there's always a risk if they're about. Hopefully they'll appear on cue if we take one of the many whale watching trips that are on offer here.

The passage was 2,498 miles and completed in exactly 20 days (within 10 minutes). The winds are always a lottery on this passage and you never know how long it's going to take. The electrical storms were easily the worst bit as you really have no control and there's little evasive action that can be taken when they're so extensive. So hope we don't meet one of those again for a long time!
