On our way once again after a really enjoyable stay in Tahiti. We like it a lot - apart from the cost of living - so expensive, we don't know how the locals can afford to live there! Had a very lumpy crossing from Tahiti to Moorea on Saturday. It was only a passage of about 20 miles, but we've not rolled so badly since leaving the UK! It was the result of quite a big southerly swell meeting an equally big easterly swell. Where the 2 met, the seas broke like breaking on rocks. We rolled from side to side and were pleased it was only a 3 hour passage! We're now anchored at the head of Baie d'Opunohu, next to Cook's Bay on the north coast. It's a beautiful setting in a turquoise lagoon over looked by spectacular scenery - majestic volcanic peaks that are reflected in the tranquil waters of the lagoon - or at least they would be if would stop gusting to 30kts! Hope the wind will ease a bit tomorrow.
