POSITION 33:26S 174:21E

 

Light variable and contrary winds continue to frustrate progress.  Presently the system is showing 102 miles to the Bay of Islands waypoint and the breeze is forecast to veer around to the south and lighten off tonight - which just makes it that much harder.

Hamish is giving serious thought as to how best to use his last 60L of diesel – doesn’t want to burn it too soon, but plenty of incentive to do so.

All well on board, and the rain has stopped for now.
