Fri. Lovely sunny morning, no wind. Motored 30 miles from Oland to Kalmar, where Steve and Veronica will get the train to Stockholm airport. Nice marina in the old city inner harbour, near the castle and right beside the old city walls, cathederal, market squares, etc. Sadly it rained when we arrived, but we got out on the Bromptons in the late afternoon. The cathedral is spectacular. Chanced upon a charming little restaurant in an old (1655) vaulted cellar and had a stunning meal. Thank you Steve and Veronica.
Sat. Up early, washing machines booked for 7am and Steve and Veronica off on the 8am train. Over 5 hours to Stockholm airport, so will be a long trip back to Exeter. Lazy day for us, washing, shopping and dodging rain showers.
