We enjoyed a largely uneventful crossing of the Bay - notorious for its stormy seas and eratic fishing fleets. We saw more dolphins than fishing boats and whilst we had wind of 20 knots plus on Friday night Associate3 coped well with the seas (despite freaking the echo sounder out at 4850 metres deep.) We had poor visibility with lightning and thunderstorms on Saturday night but were kept company for about 4 hours by the most amazing display by a pod of dolphins who continuously buzzed the boat and jumped in her bow wave and wake. This was made even more of a show by the phospherence that danced around the dolphins wake
