We enjoyed a leisurely sail/motor from Ria Arosa to Ria Pontevedra past the Isla Ons - one of the national parks here - and headed for the top of the Ria to the 'restored' fishing village of Combarro, This was opposite the Spanish equivalent of Dartmouth Royal Naval College - "Escuela Naval Militar" in a place called Marin. Combarro was a bit touristique but was still slightly beguiling in its own way. The stone grain stores were fascinating - sitting on their stone toadstools to discourage the local rodents.

We had been warned by others that the restaurants here were very overpriced and of dubious quality but following a quick interrogation of Trip Advisor we found that the horrible red building in the marina was one of the best in town so we beat a route there and ended up enjoying a delicious meal of local produce served whilst the locals eat alongside us whist watching Real Madrid beat Juventus in the European Cup Final. Great evening and great atmosphere with very friendly, and happy locals
