21st - 23rd June Marina Solenzara

We had a pleasant passage to Solenzara with a following wind and the head sail out almost full. The sea was sparkling and the passing scenery was lovely with craggy mountains and lush greenery to be seen in the distance and all the beaches appeared to be sandy. This was a nice small port with a few shops, several bars and reasonable facilities although again the showers were charged extra to the mooring fee at euro 2.50 so we used our own! We enjoyed sitting at a lovely cafe over-looking the harbour as the sun set, sipping our chilled drinks. The following day we visited the small Spar supermarket for fresh supplies and also discovered a laundry although e decided not use it. After supper that night we went to the same bar as yesterday and had delicious ice-cream sundaes.
