A big day today…the "Beer Boat Regatta"…and the competition begins!!  But first….here is a special "inside story"….Nate and Poppi were walking down the beach when we "saw a hat"!!  We slowly crept up to the hat and were shocked when we "saw a head"….imagine, just a head laying on the sand, under a hat….and we wanted to tell Issy but "she was in the restroom"….wonder whose head that was!!  And then Nani continued with the "Alligator" and "Kitty" at the pool and beach  while the rest of the crew prepared for the big regatta!  Poppi and "Hurley" are taking on mom and dad, and 9 other catamarans, in a Regatta in North Sound right in front of BEYC.  We are sailing 14' Waves…. The "Committee Boat" positions itself at the other end of the sound, with two coolers of beer….and the Regatta continues until the beer is gone!  We did 3 races over the course of about 3 hours in the afternoon.  And, as the pictures evidence…."Hurley" was "in the right on a starboard tack" when we got "T-boned" by Shawn and Cindy….and yes, at one point Shawn lost his crew member, and we were not sure if he was going to pick her up!!  But, all in all a great day….Shawn and Cindy placed at the top in every race, and always beat Hurley and Poppi….but, as Hurley says….He and Poppi met their objective: "don't be last"!  Dinner was at the Crawl Pub for Nani, Poppi, and the kids, while Shawn and Cindy enjoyed an alone romantic dinner….but first, we all gathered for the ever popular family photos …  a must to close the evening.  And then Movie night aboard "Arbella" for "Big Hero 6"!!
