Spent Happy Mother's Day in Denver, visiting kids and grandkids.  Now on "Arbella" planning a side voyage tomorrow morning to St. Malo, France, about 55 miles and 6 hour sail.  Departing at 7am to meet high tide conditions for exiting marina, expecting to spend 3 days in St. Malo, before returning to Guernsey.  Afternoon preparations included:  rigging all lines, preparing foul weather gear, reviewing safety equipment and procedures, and discussing between Vicki and I departing procedures.  Expecting:  Temperature --  50 deg F;  Wind -- 12-15 knots; Wave Height 3-4 feet; Clear sky.  Great walk today to Guernsey Yacht Club where we picked up our membership cards, burgee, some GYC gear, and visited with GYC staff.  Enjoyed stocking up on "fresh caught fish" for freezer aboard.  Tomorrow will be the first sail on "Arbella" with just the two of us; and should be much easier than the shakedown passages from Ipswich to Guernsey!
