Today started on Plan A (stay in Gedster), morphed to Plan B (sail after lunch to anchor overnight off Fehmarn island, GE), then to Plan C (sail at 1100 for the same), then en-route eventually to Plan D - change night's destination to Bagenkop, Langeland island, DK.  Why all the changes? The crew mutinied and said they wanted to do more sailing - especially as the wind was more favorable than the skipper had expected.

What a great day's sail we had. Hard on the wind SSW3 and in bright sunshine for first two hours, implementation of Plan D saw the asymmetric flying and the boat speed at 7+ kts. Although the wind faded by 1530, we'd made good progress and entered Bagenkop in time to squeeze - and we mean squeeze - into the last box berth and find a restaurant ashore.

Plan hereafter is to be at anchor tomorrow night in a secluded spot to NW of Kiel, then enjoy a freed-sheets sail to Kiel on Friday. Lock in to Canal Saturday morning, arrive Brunsbuttel Sunday evening, then lock out and sail final miles to Cuxhaven on Monday, ready for crew change Tuesday.  Believe that will stay unchanged and you'll believe anything...!
