A further chug up Himmerfjarden saw us pass through the town of Sodertalje, and once more enter Sweden's inland water playground via another lock. Then,  once passed the enormous Astra Zenica production facility, and we were in Lake Malaren. What a beautiful lake: we are spoilt for choice of secluded anchorages, with the whole place seemingly all to ourselves, even though today is a national holiday. Once clear of the canal, we set the genoa and ghosted for a couple of hours to our selected silent spot for the night. What a pleasant contrast the peace is compared to the manic waters of Poole or the Solent!

Tomorrow we will be in the centre of Stockholm. So another contrast!
