Thursday.  We have had a good passage since departing L'Aberwrach on Wednesday morning, although little wind at first and a horribly confused sea made for unpleasant conditions and a call for the services of the donk. However the wind filled in as promised by Mr.GRIB, and we had a storming passage that had us clearing the shipping lanes by nightfall. By this stage we were some 20m south of Start Point, and carried the wind through the night as we proceeded up Channel, paralleling the shipping to the south of us.

The wind deserted us for 4hrs this morning, but there's enough now to fill the asymmetric and give us 5kts. The plan is to anchor in Studland Bay this evening c.1800, and go alongside PYC tomorrow morning to off load etc.

Today, it is exactly 10 years ago that we took ownership of Aquila, in Newport, Rhode Island.  Since then, she has safely sailed us some 14,500 miles.
