RETURN TO A CORUNA

Sunday: A gray dawn, and the wind blowing into the bay gave some motion to the boat. So after a leisurely breakfast at 1100 (well, it is Sunday and we are on holiday!) and a swim for the Mate (phot), we weighed anchor (windlass behaved) and set sail in very gentle conditions. Hester did some winching (phot); we respected the surf breaking against the cliffs 2 cables to port of our track (phot), and as the wind filled in the sun resorted to providing its normal service to the crew (phots).

These marvellous few days with so much of the family aboard has been all too short – tomorrow all depart, leaving the skipper to prepare the boat for Seb’s arrival on Wednesday and our departure for home waters on Thursday. But at least we have hatched a cunning plan for next year’s cruise…
