By Thursday evening the new crew (Pippa, Tom and Hester) were all assembled (phot), so first stop on Friday morning was the fish market (phot). Over lunch (phot) a cruise ship arrived (phot) – now, bearing in mind the name of the line (phot), don’t get killed in your rush to sign up! After lunch we sailed in arduous conditions (phot) – definitely Hester weather (phots)! By teatime we were at anchor in a truly rugged spot – out awnings etc was the only answer.

Ashore the next day for an explore into Ares – we love the Spanish habit of installing shower-off facilities on every beach (phot), and we enjoyed the architecture of the local coast guard’s hut atop the slipway (phot); we were even saddened to find the EU’s flag at half-mast at the local town hall (and this was not the crew’s doing!!!). Back on board, and a truly lazy day enjoying the anchorage and tranquillity.
