Wednesday. Camarinas provided all the essentials we needed: showers, water, fuel, stores. The skipper fixed something (phot); we spotted a ‘pork barrel’ bridge (EU funded, we speculated)(phot); and dined in style in a tapas bar (phot). The skipper thought it might have been the same bar that he had visited with a previous crew, but could not be sure….

Thursday: a one mile passage to anchor at the head of Ria Camarinas. On a forage ashore we came across a pristine estuary (phot), a project for renovation (phot), the Mate (phot) and ourselves (phot). Back on board it was time for the barbie, and the Palometta fish (cost from the market: 4 Euro!!!) cooked to perfection (phot). What a perfect end to a day (phot).
