Ken and the skipper enjoyed an easy passage from North Bay, Barra to Loch Eynort, South Uist on Tuesday 9 June.  While he may look worried as we left North Bay

Ken soon showed that he'd lost none of enthusiasm and skills that were honed on the trip to La Rochelle last year - especially his ability to steer a steady course.  This was a top priority for the anchorage we were heading to: the entrance to Upper Loch Eynort was seriously sporting.  While it's difficult to discern from the photo below, Ken has just successfully negotiated a rock strewn passage - at some stages there was barely a boat length of clearance either side of us.

That's not a worm hanging from his right eye - just his lanyard to stop his eyes popping out at the proximity of the rocks!  Once anchored, he attempted to catch us our supper, but the fish seemed to have other ideas.

Inside the narrows, the anchorage gave us 360 degree protection:

During our 48 hours here, we carried out some maintenance work on the engine, and enjoyed a stroll ashore in this wild place.

Safely retracing our steps out through the Loch Eynort arrow and back at sea on Thursday 11th, Ken was clearly at his happiest with a full fry-up in his lap!

Carbost, in Loch Harport, Skye was our destination...rumour has it the Talisker Distillery is located there.....
