We sailed for the BVIS at 6.20am, cruising under Genoa and arrived off Necker Island at 18.15 not a bad sail.
We dropped anchor off Spanish Town so that we could check in with immigration the following morning.
Much of the area, including the supermarket and cafe were destroyed by Hurricane Irma.

Having checked in we then motor sailed to Bitter End Yacht Club but that is still not functioning.  We then anchored off Leveric Bay a small marina and again damaged by the hurricane.  After exploring ashore we moved across to the other side of the inlet with crystal clear water.  Still very windy much more so than usual and this has been so since returning to Aqualuna.

The following morning we decided to sail down the other side of Tortola (north side) to Jost Van Dyke Island and go to Foxy’s in the evening.  I was now obviously feeling very much better as we enjoyed the Friday BBQ there and then danced most of the evening having a load of fun.  Foxy’s was up and running with no problem and has totally rebuilt the place and looks very much as it did and has not lost any of it’s character.

The following morning we went around to White Bay, anchored inside the reef and paddle board ashore for lunch at the Soggy Dollar.  The whole beach has now been developed by cafes and restaurants which in away is sad as it now so crowded but fun for people watching.  See photo below.
