We dropped anchor off the beach in Edgartown at 17.30 on Sunday 02nd July and had a BBQ on board. The following day M and B spent the day looking around the town and Jonathan and I set off to the ferry across to Cheppequidick Island to go to see a Japanese garden. A couple on the very gave us a lift there. The gardens were not overly impressive, untidy and only a nod to the Japanese style. We walked back stopping for a sandwich on the way. Then we found a path with very hot sand down to the beach and walked in the water mainly back to the ferry, passing through a private beach club on the way where we met the lady who gave us a lift. Chatted to her for a bit before catching the ferry back to the town. We met up with B and M who were tucking into ice creams. Back to the yacht for a chill out and then out for dinner in the evening at Atlantis which was very good and a great atmosphere.
