It’s been ages since I wrote my blog, pure laziness really. Now it is catch up time. We rejoined Aqualuna after a wonderful Christmas with the family in the U.K. this time staying with our nephew, niece in law and Great nieces plus of course our daughter, son and daughter in law not to mention to golden retrievers. It was all very relaxed with everybody mucking in and helping.
We returned to the yacht in Antigua in January and found out that old Hong Kong friends, Marilyn and Mike Mann along with their daughter Laura, were over here as they were expecting Laura’s fiancé, Stuart Watts, to arrive any minute as one of the team called the ‘Four Oarsmen’ who were rowing the Atlantic and in so doing were breaking the world record of having done 3,000 miles in 29 days. They got married on a beach in Antigua a week later. We had Marilyn and Mike out on the yacht for a the week before the wedding and dropped anchor in Carlisle Bay for lunch on board and a swim. Two nights before the wedding we had The Watts family along with Mike and Marilyn on board for drinks. The wedding itself was superb, elegant, simple and fun with a delicious lunch.
