Mustique 28th - 30th January, 2016

Drinks ashore at Basil’s Bar then back to the yacht for a lobster dinner.  Back to Basil’s Bar for the Blue’s Festival, huge fun, lots of dancing great music bed at about 2 .a.m.
The following day we rented a mini Moke to tour the island.  These tortoise statues are up the hill.  Mustique is full of wild tortoises and their colouring is amazing.
We visited Macaroni Beach, where we had a picnic with friends 8 years ago. We did a walk around the lagoon nature trail and mangrove swamp.  Gazed lovingly at villas way beyond our dreams sadly.  Visited the beach where Mick Jagger and various others have their villas going down to the beach.  Lunch at the Cotton Tree Hotel and eventually took the Moke, which was a lot fun, back. Back to the yacht where I cooked the Florida Pompano and then off to Basil’s Bar again for the jazz.  Many tables ‘reserved’ for those who own or are renting villas, they all appear to know each other so felt a bit like gate crashers at a private party, the music and atmosphere was not as good as the night before.  Pictures of the beach where Mick Jagger’s villas and various others are, Basil’s Bar on the next blog.
