Lots of fun. Drinks, parties, dinners. The Friday night jump up in Gros Islet was a bit of a disappointment as it was mainly yachties and hardly any locals. So people were just hanging around in the street drinking with not much dancing, last time it was mainly locals with lots of dancing and showing us all how it was done, which is a very different movement from the usual type of European dancing, even the music was more European this time. Lots of side street BBQs. We booked into a local restaurant off the main street which was good.

Raylah, a yacht that joined us on the Blue Water Rally, went up on the hard in Fiji and was robbed by the security man!! is just a few yachts down from us, Jeremy came on board for drinks last night for a catch up. We also saw Ducco who is also in the ARC on his yacht Briet, I don’t think he has arrived yet.

We have cleaned the yacht from top to bottom and got some local help with polishing the sides and stainless steel. Laundry done and put away as well. We said ‘Goodbye’ to Sue and Charles and Jervis yesterday lunchtime. Sue and Charles were off for a romantic week in a pretty hotel further south and Jervis, sadly, had to get back to work. We will miss them and the crazy banter it is VERY quiet on board at the moment!! Antonia joins us from the UK on Tuesday night which we are very much looking forward to.

We are now more in the hub of things as we are on D1. along with the other two ‘Discovery Yachts’ Euphraxia and Rubicon. Maybe Discovery Yachts should get clients to come and have a look….. We have been asked by the Ocean Cruising Club to host a pontoon drinks party so we are organising this for Wednesday evening.

We are now booked into English Harbour for Christmas Day in Antiqua which, I hope, will be good, last time it was dinghies full of ice and champagne, eats, steel bands and jazz bands.
Whilst it is quiet I will start sorting through photos to down load on to the web.

Our blog was taken off the ARC website as Bluewatermooney complained that we had accused them of using their engine to get south, they obviously didn’t read the blog properly or translate it properly as I said we SUSPECT them of doing so and we will find out in due course when we declare our engine hours. They are very serious people…….. We only expected to get line honours as they had a much bigger rig on a smaller yacht than us and yet were told we would only win if we got over the line 40 miles ahead of them…. really not sure how it works ha, ha. but really not serious and just fun for us to have done so well considering all our mishaps and having no spinnaker and a smaller rig on a larger yacht.
