Around the world with the Aqualunies

We found a window to leave Musket Cove and head for Vanua Levu.   The island was typical of a tropical island dream, deserted, no village.  To get into the bay we had to be very, very careful as there are reefs everywhere which became more obvious when the tied went out and the sea was break on them.  We couldn't get a wifi signal there at all so we were really cut off other than using the irridium.  We found it difficult to take the dingy in to the beach as the reef was just below the sand with loads of rocks. We spent a couple of nights there then as it became very rolley in the yacht at anchor we decided to leave.  We headed up to the Blue Lagoon again which has sheltered water on most sides and easy to get to the beach to do walks in inclement weather.  Just as well we did as the winds the following night gusted at 40 knots with huge amounts of rain and lighting.  Nice to feel safe and well anchored.  On our way to the Blue Lagoon we caught three Tuna, the largest you can see in the picture below, I had mentioned to Jonathan the night before it would be good to catch some as I want to cook more fish.  The smallest of the Tuna we gave to George in the Blue Lagoon, he was the guy who took us to church in his village last Sunday, he was delighted with it.

The next morning we did a walk across to the Tea House on the other side of the island.  We all needed a leg stretch having been boat bound for three days.  Just as well we did it in the morning as we had a huge storm for 12 hours from Mid afternoon onwards.
We are now leaving the Blue Lagoon and heading down to another bay to see if we can find Manta Rays.
