Sat innocently at the computer on the nav' desk yesterday afternoon and was
hit on the shoulder by a large flying fish. I was very quick to blame Jonathan only to be
told that a large shoal of flying fish circled the yacht and one flew right
across the cockpit and went below decks hitting me.

Last night lying in my bunk it felt like being on a very expensive, enclosed
surfboard, we were flying and made 54 miles in 6 hours! A very different
story this moring, we are going frustratingly slowly; decided to gybe the
twin poled solent and genny but still only going at about 6-7 knots but still
very determined not to put the engine on yet.

The 'boys' had sausages last night with mash and baked beans, vey special
Darts Farm Honey and pork; they were given a choice between fish and
sausages. I'm afraid its fish again tonight as the fridge is packed with it so
will griddle it and make some advocado and mango salsa to go with it.

Nine flying fish on the deck this morning, Jonathan is using some of them as
bait hoping for a wahoo. So far caught another 5 lb dorado probably on an
empty hook but he got off at the boat! A rather grey, muggy morning with
the occasional rain squall.

Midday and Jonathan has just announced we have done 193 miles in 24 hours
just short of an 8 knot average. Cross tacked with Combat a yacht in the
racing division during the night. And just a few secounds ago we crossed
the line into the tropics.

Love from all on Aqualuna.
