A great start today at 1300, almost first past the start line, we had the MPS up one hour after the start so we were doing a steady 8 kts but reaching 10 kts at times. We also landed our first fish today, a 10 lbs dorado, so fish for dinner. We now have the MPS down and the Genoa out now we have covered 42 miles – only 2800 to go!! Sadly, we saw our friends on Apparition halyard snap and cruising shute come tumbling down into the water, shredding it to pieces.

The sea is calm and there is 12 kts of breeze.
