We finally arrived at Gibraltar port at 11.00pm last night – 36.08.949N  005.21.236W

We finally mustered our crew at 12.00 on the 14th October:

Michael said a fond farewell to Jacky until she joins us for a couple of months in Antigua:

And off we sailed!  Well, even bearing in mind that I am not a sailor and haven’t sailed very much I didn’t expect to spend the entire 11 hour journey burping in my bunk!!  Hopefully I will find my sea legs eventually or I will have to resort to the pills!!  There was a lot of swell and a force 5 breeze but the boys got here safely at about 11.00pm and we all had a good nights sleep after our scrambled egg on toast.

All my best laid plans of cooking healthy meals and providing tasty snacks on route went by the board – I could no more have even buttered a slice of bread!  Vic ended up making pasta for everyone instead.  Oh and ‘head of medical supplies’, I couldn’t even find the thermometer when Oscar’s temperature was high the night before last – so far I have failed on all my personal missions!!  Must do better!

I think around 30 of the other boats have already arrived.  We have our briefings tomorrow and a party tomorrow night so lots to get on with
