DAY 14 - NEW YEARS DAY 2011

Well, no party, no drinking, no wind, all led to a very quiet new years eve. Didn't,t really expect to be becalmed in the Roaring Forties.

Big news of the day was that we received Meercat's exam results and they are fantastic with a high tertiary entry rank. - Yippee !

Second big news of the day is that Mikey has learnt Finnish and has talked nicely to the Wallas cooker and has promised to keep that nasty Stirling person away as it feels intimidated (sound familiar ??).
We did a major rebuild twice yesterday and even showed it plans for a rocket ship that we would convert it into. We even read it the service for a burial at sea, all to no avail, it still was,t go to work.
During the darkness of night it started talking in Finnish (actually Wallas tounge) and in exchange for a few promises of protection it would agree to work on its own terms.

So currently the hob and oven are working and so we made a mass of porridge to celebrate.

Tmoby had a guitar for xmas and Meercat has been teaching him, he is getting on great and can play a mean blues version of jingle bells. He is making bread today under the eagle eye of Stirling (poor lamb).

Forecast for tomorrow is 30 knts of NE wind which should get us going.

Hope your hangovers are getting better, we will have our xmas and new year party when we arrive in Oz, so it will be a case of deja vu for some.

Well I must go back and bond with the cooker or it will stop working.

Happy holidays.

Mikey
