Cartegena to Gib -

7th Sept afternoon. With Barbara's help we have just hoisted our smart new Parasailor for the first time - what a great sail. It setSets superbly with its unusual foil section (we will write about this seperately).
After about an hour the wind has fallen away so we look forward to playing with it another day!

night of 7/8th Sept: Clear skies, calm water, gently cruising west to Gibraltar under motor guided by the autopilot on 220 degrees, and with occasional checks on the 'Plough' to check that the autopilot has not decided to drive in circles, as it did once the previous day. The skies are clear. The water is in parts phosphorescent (bioluminescent plankton - Tim - Ed) and at 11pm the dolphins join us. For hours we enjoy their company and occasional athletic leaps. They seem to enjoy our bow wave, and the freeride most.

(PS blog readers, many of you will read our blog and trust its accuracy, but errors ocassionally creep in and we are grateful to the enquiring mind of one blg reader, Alan Armstrong, who kindly pointed out that our reference to the Dover straits might have been a bit off beam, as the associated picture looks remarkable like Gibraltar. We apologize for this error and failure in our quality control, a correction may be posted as soon as possible).
