A beautiful morning, after a somewhat bumpy nightride. Mike L's first comment this morning, when climbing down his comfortable bunkbed, was: "I think somebody most have done something wrong when cobbling this road we're riding on" referring to the disturbing waves keeping us all a little bit from sleeping last night. At times the sea even got a bit angry with us I'd say, throwing us around like a little duckling in a baby's bath, although the wind was still ok. 20-25 knots with a few blows of 30+ knots. A few rain showers came by, but usually not longer than 10 minutes, so nightwatches were a pleasure to take, maybe even better than trying to get some sleep being tossed around in your bed :-)

Yesterday was a marvellous, splendid day. Beautiful sunshine, a nice little cloud here and there to give us some shade, nice 17-25 knots of wind so especially for Tim a great day to do some laundry! We lost him for a while in the forepeak, but when he returned, a big basket with fresh clothes came out and we dressed the boat nicely with it. This inspired Barbara and Mike L, so covered in wash we beautifully sailed along the atlantic and enjoyed the sun, our books and even some sextant reading by Mike L!

At the moment, less than 300 miles to go! We're almost there! Exciting! Funny how 300 miles now seem 'close' whilst when you're sailing on the North Sea, a 300 mile sail is considered a 'huge' journey which will bring you all the way to Norway if you're not carefull!

Summarized; another interesting and beautiful day in paradise, where Alize again and again does a great and superb job. Happy to be here!

Oh yeah..and so far our spoon competition..well..let's put it this way, you'll get used to eating yoghurt with a fork and dinner with a... serving spoon :-)

Barbara, Mike, Tim & Mike
