We stayed here a few nights and rented a car. We went to San Juan and had an interesting day walking around the old fort and town there. It is a very historic place but rather shabby. Not Venice shabby, run down shabby.

Another day we went up into the rain forest which was quite interesting. Why we didn't think it was going to rain in the rain forest the day we went I have no idea, but it wasn't too bad. We had a pleasant walk along trails between huge trees, ferns and all sorts of other green stuff.

The marina is in the middle of an 'all american' holiday home, timeshare, rental, golf club' type of complex which was absolutely HUGE. It was a 10 minute drive just to get out of the place, there were literally thousands of properties, most of which had a golf cart for transport. The resort looks like it was started in the 80's and is showing its age. The marina has berths for 160 yachts, and I reckon there about 20 there max. Of those about three actually had people on them. All a bit sad really.
