Arrived in Bermuda at lunch time on the 13th after a fantastic sail. We set a new record of 232 miles in 24 hours, and averaged 220 miles a day for three days straight which was great. The wind faded on the 4th day as predicted and we resorted to motoring for 7 hours during the final night. The morning brought light winds from astern and with 4 crew on board we opted to fly our spinnaker again. After our trials and tribulations from when we last used it crossing the Atlantic in November, this was a huge success. The sail has earned a reprieve and will stay on the boat so long as it behaves its self!

Bermuda is a great place, immaculately clean, a very positive vibe and loads of history. This is the the second place I have visited that I have thought 'I could live here'. The first was Vancouver.

Tomorrow, the 19th, we leave for New York.
