Friday 4th May

Interesting day/night. We had company, lots of it. During the night we had several encounters with dolphins and a couple of what looked like swifts hitched a lift. Alex's coat made an excellent nest. The obviously had no fear of humans as they sat on my head for a photo. We were disturbed to see them fly off in the morning and one did an emergency landing on the sea. The last we saw was it trying to recover before we lost sight of it. We are all truly saddened by this tragedy.
The wind has deserted us and again we are relying on the metal sail to propel us across the Bay.

So we have another day without sight of land and we have only seen one ship on the horizon going south.

More salty stories on Saturday.
