153 miles covered. Our strategy remains to be west of rhumbline. When the wind is west AJ goes south and when the wind is south AJ goes west. We anxiously await northwest wind. We spend some time under full sail and some reefed. The wind fluctuates - rarely very light and many squalls. The jib furl line breaks releasing 150 percent jib just as need to furl for squall. Temporary furl line rigged to get us through the night. Stars and less cloud cover. Steering feels stiff and will be investigated at first light. Crew tired but AJ going well in top third of fleet
