The engine was fixed yesterday afternoon and we had planned to leave on this evenings tide but unfortunately the weather is against us again. There is a strong Southerly forecast against a spring tide and when we mentioned our plans to sail through the Chanel du Four to the senior lifeboatman who rescued us on Monday, his _expression_ was enough to make us change our minds !!! He doesn’t speak much English and we are very poor French speakers but he certainly got his message across loud and clear. Our latest plan is to stay for a few days and possibly set off on Saturday. We are safely tied to a strong pontoon (which doesn’t show in the satellite photo as it obviously wasn’t built when the images were taken). We will enjoy the French hospitality.
