Trip 64

Evening all,

All well on MB. It may be that yesterday's blog did not go out as planned due to my error in fmrat of the position, which I hope is now corrected. I know the SPOT messages have been received OK.

We left the Mar Menor at the 1200 bridge opening with Adrian acting as skipper for the leg to Almerimar as practice for RYA Yachtmaster exam. As a veteran of the Clipper Pacific leg in 2012, he has not had much chance of acting as skipper before so here was a good opportunity.

So here we are, between Cartagena and Cabo de Gata, sailing downwind in around 18 knots of wind from the NE. Its rather rolly and we have only a part main unrolled as this is the first night at sea and we want to test the boat and ourselves fairly gently! All well so far. The boat goes pretty well with her clean bottom and we are averaging around 5.5 knots.

Andy heated a ready made lasagne this evening as his contribution to the galley area. It was enjoyed by all.

Forecast due to lighten winds tomorrow and perhaps go SW.

We need to get the blog routine sorted but the crew are preteending they are computer illiterate so far! Have been sending SPOTs 2/day so far. I need to find the spellchecker also!

An alcohol free day here which is excellent for Mike!!!

Regards to all.
